General Yair Golan, IDF Commanding Officer of Israel's Home Front Command, together with high-ranking officers of his staff met recently with Chananya Chollak, International Chairman, at Ezer Mizion's national headquarters.
The visit included a tour of the national headquarters Jacob Fried building and its departments and services. The officers were shown additional support programs run by Ezer Mizion, with an emphasis on the organization's capability to respond to different problems in the course of events associated with civil population defense.
The guests were given a survey of the large number of activities carried out by Ezer Mizion during the second Lebanese War both in the battle field and on the home front, in accommodating residents on campuses that were rented for this purpose, providing recreational activities, supply of food and basic staples, distribution of hot meals to people evacuated from their homes, evacuating ill and handicapped people in ambulances from the North, and accommodating children with special needs in supervised activity clubs that operate on premises at Ezer Mizion and at summer camps.
